She had just kissed a boy and was 16 about the time people got married back then. She though of marriage as a beautiful thing something she wanted to have. She escaped the world just thinking about it and sat at the tree nearly all day imagining it.
The quote basically says that life is hard for men and easy for woman. Men keep traveling on lost, never knowing whats going on or when/how to stop. Woman can decide what they want to do, if they want to forget they will, but lets say they want to hold a grudge than they decide to remember, and never forget.

pg 112 Mark Twain "There ain't a coward amongst them Sheperdsons-not a one." This is Buck talking about his enemies who he tries to kill, but respects them to no end. He doesn't feel hatred toward them just wants to kill them because of his families feud.

pg 111 Mark Twain "Was it a Grangerford or a Shepherdson?". This is Huck asking Buck how the feud started. Buck dosent even know how it happens but keeps on killing the other family anyway.
pg 75 Mark Twain "I'm unfavorable to killin' a man as long as you can git aroun' it; it ain't good morals". These are two murderers talking about morals. This makes no sense, there talking about how to kill a man as its wrong to kill him with a gun but ok to drown a man.

pg86 "well, den! Dad blame it, why doan' he talk like a man? You answer me dat!" This was Jim and they where arguing why a French person doesn't speak English. This show the simplicity of Jim and how he is more like a child mentally than a man. Showing the gap of education between the blacks and whites in the South.
pg37 Mark Twain "Yes, just as that man has got that son raised at last, and ready to go to work and begin to do suthin' for him and give him a rest, the law up and goes for him." This is a paradox because pap never really raised him. He just left him to laze around and then the widow took care of Huck.

pg 38 "They said he could vote". He is what pap calls a nigger, this shows how racist he is and then he says he'll leave the county if a black person can vote. Latter he says that he was going to vote but was to drunk. So he doesn't even vote and now that a black person can he wont. He is just making excuses of himself for things he wont even do. This shows how insecure he is.
pg33 Mark Twain "and jailed him (pap) again for a week. But he said he was satisfied; said he was boss of his son, and he'd make it warm for him." The dad was jailed, this happens to him so much that its not even considered a bother. Hes happy that he has his son is his again and that he celebrated by getting drunk and jailed.

pg34 Mark Twain "He (judge) reckoned a body could reform the old man (pap) with a shotgun, maybe, but he didn't know no other way." The judge that didn't want to separate pap from his son is now thinking twice about it. Just after spending all this time trying to reform pap and congratulating him, the judge is now mourning him. This tells us there is no more hope for pap.
