Selection from Waldon chapter "Where I Lived, and What I Lived For". by Henry David Thoreau
*We do not ride on the railroad; it rides on us.
1. This quote is very important and makes perfect sence depending on how its looked at. Man makes railroad's for transportation and for money but if we didnt desire to travel and expand but just stay at home these railroad's wouldnt be made. By wanting to expand and see new things we create railroads and maintain them. Without these desires though there wouldant be any railroads. So the fact that there are railroads is because of us.
*If you have built a castle in the air, your work will not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them....
2. This tells us that if a person gets an idea and has it in the air dont forget about it try to find away to make the idea work. Use the resources avalible to make the things you desire come true. Dont just right something off like its never going to happen. Work hard and make it happen.
